Masonic Education

In an effort to create additional opportunities for Masonic Education, the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Education and Publications intends to use this Masonic Education Website as a host for educational material. This educational material will be a mix of educational material intended for all Brethren and resource material for Masonic Educators. We recognize that the real work of Masonic Education occurs at the Lodge level. There are potentially 330 Lodge Education Officers, who form the majority of Masonic Educators within our Grand Jurisdiction. As we continue to develop educational material for all Brethren, we will also do whatever we can to provide the LEOs and our District Education Officers with every educational resource that can be economically obtained to perform their important duties. The advantages of using this electronic media to make educational material and resources available are too numerous to mention. From time to time, we will also use this Education Website to post information about other educational opportunities and resources, such as conferences, seminars and videos (when available).

These last two years the Committee on Masonic Education and Publications have attempted to bring Masonic Education into the Light of the 21st Century. We hope this will result in a new generation of Masons who are enthusiastic about learning not only the beautiful ritual but also what more Light in Masonry really means!

Thomas F. Blizzard, PDDGM
Grand Provost and Chairman,
Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Education and Publications
