  1. Summary form with supporting statements must be turned in to the Director of Competitions by 3:30 p.m. on the first day of Conclave.
  2. A panel of adult judges and active DeMolays will be appointed by the Director of Competitions.
  3. Judging standards:

D. RITUAL WORK
  1. Open and close chapter (full year).
  2. Initiatory Degree (your chapter or before a Masonic group).
  3. DeMolay Degree (your chapter or before a Masonic group).
  4. Public Installation (for your chapter).
  5. Majority Service (your chapter).
  6. RD Presentation (your chapter, list each).
  7. Other Public ceremonies (your chapter, list each).

E. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES, ETC
  1. Public observance of Obligatory Days (7, list each).
  2. Active participation in Safe Driving program.
  3. Publishing a chapter publication (10 points each issue).
  1. At least four (4) issues of the chapter publication must be made a part of the submission for a chapter to be eligible.
  2. All publications will be considered regardless of type (printed, ditto, etc.).
  3. Categories to be considered are as follows:
  1. Overall appearance
  2. Legibility
  3. Photographs and drawings
  4. Balanced contents
  5. Reader interest
  6. Grammar and rhetoric
  1. If a chapter submits more than four (4) issues, it should identify those it desires to be judged on the above categories.
  1. Each visitation to another chapter (minimum of five DeMolays per visit).
  2. Mothers', Fathers' and/or Parents' or Senior DeMolays' Club

  1. Home talent show, play old timers' night, sponsors' night, comedy, minstrel show (must list).

Number of members becoming proficient during the year divided by total = percentage point. Allow one (1) competitions point for each percentage point, rounded.

Number of members who have completed the course during the award year. Use same method as (1) above except include Advisors in members count. (Members must have received notice or certificate of satisfactory completion of course to be considered.
