This tournament is designed to allow DeMolays who are not competing in the major sports competitions to participate in athletic events at Conclave. It also allows visiting DeMolays, guests, and advisors to participate in Conclave sporting events.

What makes this event different from other competitions is that it is set up and executed by active DeMolays. The State Athletics, Competitions, and Ritual Director will appoint officials and referees. The tournament will follow these basic rules:
  1. Regulation Basketball rules will be applicable.
  2. A team will consist of at least three but no more than four members.
  3. One in-state (Virginia), active DeMolay must be on the court at all times.
  4. The other players may be active DeMolays, Senior DeMolays, Advisors, out-of-state DeMolays, Prospects, or any combination of the choices. Teams do not have to be from the same chapter.
  5. A game will be played to sixteen points. A team must win by two points.
  6. The tournament is single elimination.
  7. No one may play on more than one team.
  8. The games will be under the supervision and control of a referee appointed by the State Director of Athletics, Competitions, and Ritual.
  9. Ejections may occur for profanity or roughing at the discretion of the referee.
  10. Only the referee may call injury time-outs.
  11. Players are not required to be proficient to participate.
  12. No one may compete again if eliminated.
